1. Estimates & Quotations

  • All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • Estimates are based on the information provided and a visual inspection where applicable. Hidden defects, asbestos, or unforeseen structural issues discovered during work may result in additional charges, which will be agreed with you before proceeding.
  • Prices are based on current material costs and may be subject to change if materials prices fluctuate significantly before work commences.
  • An accepted estimate constitutes a binding agreement between both parties.

2. Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required before work commences unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work.
  • Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer. Payment details are provided on each invoice.
  • Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

3. Warranty & Guarantees

  • All workmanship carries a 12-month warranty from the date of completion.
  • Manufacturer warranties on parts and materials (e.g. boilers, cylinders, controls) are separate and subject to the manufacturer's terms.
  • The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modifications.
  • Warranty claims must be reported promptly. We will arrange a visit to inspect and rectify any defects covered under warranty at no additional charge.

4. Gas Safety & Compliance

  • All gas installations comply with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and current Building Regulations Part J.
  • A Gas Safe notification will be made to your local Building Control body where required by law.
  • Gas safety certificates will be provided for all completed gas work.

5. Liability

  • We carry public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from work carried out shall not exceed the value of the estimate or invoice for that work.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects, damage caused by third parties, or issues arising from customer-supplied materials.
  • Estimates generated by this software are indicative and based on standard material and labour rates. Final costs may vary depending on site conditions.

6. Cancellation

  • You may cancel an accepted estimate by giving written notice before work commences. Materials already purchased for the job will be charged at cost.
  • If work has commenced, cancellation charges will reflect the work completed and materials used to date.
  • For domestic contracts signed at your home, you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, unless you have agreed for work to start within that period.

7. Dispute Resolution

  • We aim to resolve any issues informally in the first instance. Please contact us at Ollie@OJServices.co.uk or 07305971841.
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

8. Access & Site Requirements

  • The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
  • Water and electricity supplies must be available for the duration of the work.
  • The customer is responsible for clearing the work area of personal belongings and valuables prior to work commencing.
